Long distance

The preparation for a long distance flight normally begins approx. 10-14 days before the pigeons are put into the race basket. The animals must be absolutely 100 % well. Therefore the pigeons receive a body wash with metro against trichomoniasis approx. 10 days before being put into the racing basket and after every long-distance flight. Depending on the training behaviour, a light antibiotic can be used for 3 days for the respiratory passages.

The provision in the final week looks somewhat like the following:

Sunday (final training flight)
After return of the pigeons: a few seeds, hemp, sunflower seeds, offer peanuts without
additive directly in the box, clear water in the 1st drinking trough;
After removal of the partner: 1 kg widower mixture, wetted with
10 ml Sedosin + 5 g Probac 1000 + 10 g Protein A.P.F. 90 and dried with some Phyto
Drinking trough: 1 litre blood cleansing tea + 10 ml C-M-C

Monday
1 kg travel mixture with 10 ml Sedosin + 5 g Probac 1000 + 10 g Protein A.P.F. 90 
Drinking trough: 1 ml Aerosol per 1 litres water

Tuesday and Wednesday
1 kg travel mixture with fresh garlic, onion, carrot and red beet mix
+ 5 ml Oregano-Oil + 5 g Probac 1000 dried with Green healing earth or Phyto
Drinking trough: 5 g Probac 1000 per 1 litre

Thursday and Friday
1 kg travel mixture + 5 ml Active iron + Green healing earth
Drinking trough: 1 ml endosan + 2 ml Blitz (iodine) per 2 l water

Saturday and Sunday
1 kg travel mixture with 10 ml Sanuzella zym + 5 ml Lecithin-Oil + 5 g Probac Energy
Evenings: additional shelled sunflower seeds + 4-6 peanuts in the box dish
Drinking trough: 10 ml C-M-C + 15 g CarboPower per 1 litre water

Monday and Tuesday (day of deployment)
1 kg travel mixture 5 ml Omega 3-Lecithin Oil + Probac Energy
additional shelled sunflower seeds + 8-10 peanuts in the box dish
Drinking trough: 10 ml C-M-C + 15 g CarboPower per 1 litre water
